Silent Auction

The Friends of the Greenfield Public Library are looking for support from the community for their first Silent Auction to be held on October 17, 2004. They need your help. The Friends are looking for donations of services, merchandise, gift certificates, crafts, antiques, or gift baskets. Givers of monetary donations of over $100 will be recognized as sponsors of the event.

The Friends is a non-profit organization that works to serve, improve, and promote Franklin County's largest and most-used library. Your generosity will allow the Friends to purchase books and materials, support Children's Room programs, and assist with the growing need for public computer access.

Please contact Connie Towler (General Chair) 413-772-6201, Ann Dillon (Chair of the Donations Committee) 413-772-6158, or Karen Larabee (Publicity Chair) 413-774-2901.

Novelist reinstated

For those of you who have enjoyed Novelist for suggestions and information on fiction books to read, take heart! The state has reinstated some funds to C/W MARS that had previously been cut. With the additional funding, C/W MARS has extended their contract with Novelist through October of 2005.
