Access the Boston Public Library's Databases Without Leaving Home!

Have you every looked at the BPL's Electronic Resource Page and thought, "Gee, I wish I could get access to some of these." Well, now you can, and without leaving western MA!

Any MA resident (who lives in a town with a certified library) can get a library card at any other town or city in MA, and this includes Boston! The BPL has just stared a program where people can get an eCard, giving them access to the same resources as Boston residents. The eCard is good for six months. To continue using the databases from home, all you need to do is visit the Boston Public Library and show them your eCard so the BPL can convert it to a regular library card. While you're there you can take advantage of the in-library use databases ( among them) and check out their extensive collections.
