Holiday travels and digital books

Are you doing a lot of traveling for the holidays? Do you like to listen to audiobooks but hate lugging around those tape or cd boxes? Are you afraid you're going to lose one of the CDs? Well, here's a solution...

C/W MARS has purchased over 1,000 digital book titles in e-book and audiobook formats. All you need to do is download the free software from the Digital Book site onto your Windows-compatible computer, and you are set to go. You can borrow 2 titles at a time and have them for 2 weeks. You never have to worry about late fees on these items as they check themselves in automatically when they are due (Adobe e-books can be checked in earlier). You can read or listen on your computer or transfer the books to a PDA or a PlaysforSure MP3 Player. Many books can even be burned to CDs, so you can listen in your car. If you download a book to another device, you can take as long as you need to finish it, only the files on your computer get checked back in, the book itself doesn't!

Audiobooks from commercial sites can run from anywhere from $10 - $50 each. With your C/W MARS library card, you can listen for free. How's that for value for your library card? And best of all, no boxes to carry around. What more can one ask for during the holiday season? Try one soon. We think you'll like them.
